VACATION IS ALMOST OVER!!

I'm sorry to say that my vacation is almost over and it's time to get back to the real world!!  The good part though is that with the real world comes stamping and creating again -- so what more can a girl ask for?  I'm sorry I haven't really had anything I could post because I actually have been doing a little stamping during my vacation.  However, I can't share it with you because it is for events coming up and people have asked me not to share the projects on my blog.  I can share this one card because the invitations have been sent and the sex of the baby is now announced.  It is very simple, but I thought (and the mom thought) it was elegant.

I used the Baby, We've Grown, Baby Prints, and Inviting (retired) Stamp Sets along with the new Large Polka Dot Textured Embossing Folder.  The theme of the party is a "Celebration" because it is a girl and mom wanted her friends to share her joy.  So the words "baby shower" were not used.

The inside of the invitation also uses the Baby We've Grown Stamp Set.  I didn't have the new Date, Time, Place Stamp Set (#134348 Wood Stamp for $11.95), so I used the retired Inviting Stamp Set.

These are my companions while I am crafting!!  Notice there are 2 doggie beds but they like to share the same one!!

Just got back from camping and this is some of the group/family relaxing after dinner (the kids are checking out the campground at Sleeper State Park).  And no, that is not my camper (my daughter's) -- I slept in a tent without electric!!  I wouldn't sleep in their trailer because I didn't want to keep them up all night, LOL!!
So this is a small look into my life this month, enjoying my family.  I will be working hard this next month finishing projects for the above baby shower and preparing for another baby shower; and creating for an event coming up in September -- so you might not be seeing much of me in the next month.

Until next time,
Sandi

ALL ABLOOM DESIGNER SERIES PAPER STACK

Have you ever been surrounded by some of the very most talented stampers in one night?  Well, this happens to me every month when I attend the RubberQueen monthly meeting.  Last night was no exception.  Our challenge for July was to create 4 projects using the new Stampin' Up! designer series paper.  Let me tell you, these ladies created beautiful projects (cards and 3-D).  If my pictures turn out, I will be showing some of these in the next couple of weeks.  You already saw one of my projects in my post last week.  Today I am posting the cards to go with that 3-D project.  All of my cards have a layer of designer series paper from the All Abloom Designer Series Paper Pack and use the new Blendabilities.  Here is what I came up with:

I stamped the designer paper using the I Love Lace Background Stamp, then stamped directly on another piece of designer paper using the Bloom With Hope Hostess Stamp Set (one of my very favorite floral stamps in the new catalog), and then "fussy cut" the images to adhere on the designer paper.  I love all the texture!

I stamped directly on the designer paper, using the Sweetbriar Rose Stamp, colored with the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities, and then added a bow using the new Blushing Bride 1/4" Cotton Ribbon (using my scissors to curl the ends -- awesome ribbon!!)

Another card using the I Love Lace Background Stamp directly on the designer paper and "fussy cutting" the Bloom With Hope flowers that were stamped directly on designer paper.

Another card, using a different design from the paper pack with the image stamped directly on paper (I used the same Blendabilities color (Rich Razzleberry), but notice how the color changed based on the color of the designer paper.  I added some Gold Sequin Trim pieces that I first colored with the Rich Razzleberry Blendabilities because I had ink smudges on the card (yep, no reason to through it away just add a little accessories to cover).
Until Next Time,
Sandi
